requiem

This will be news to my co-host (who himself has a penchant for surprising news), but I'm sticking a fork in this particular podcast. I have neither the time nor the patience to produce any podcast longer than 15 minutes at this point.

I have been toying with the idea of a 5-10 minute podcast which would air a couple times a week. Stay tuned here and to my site for more details. 'til then: a moment of silence for Ludophiles.

to be continued. . . ?

The header and podcast feed links have been fixed. There were some issues whilst I was moving my site (which hosts some of the content) to a new server.

Past episodes should be back to normal soon, as well. Future episodes? I'll worry about that after I finish graduatin'.

show 007 - sleepy sports monkey

The show will be up as soon as we iron out some more server-side issues.
With me near comatose, we discuss NCAA bracketology, NFL free agency, and introduce the Wonderlic Test.

See how you score on the Wonderlic Test! Take the questions at ESPN's Page2, question #4 at the Indianapolis Star, and questions #1 & 2 at the Orlando Sentinel. Finish the test in four minutes, nineteen seconds, add up your correct answers, and multiply by 25/9. (Thanks to the Daily Fix for doing the math for us). I got a 39.

preview - possible episode 007

I need to buy vodka, as a martini will (naturally) be the drink of choice for the next episode. In the hypothetical case that a seventh episode is taped at some point (which, in turn, depends on neither of the co-hosts working on large legal projects), it would contain: Duke & Indiana basketball, Chicago baseball, rookie football, the late Kirby Puckett, and perhaps even some exotic cricket references.

Will this episode ever exist? Will I be doomed to record the podcast versions of Joe Dirt and Just Shoot Me? Find out Sunday.

show 006 - don knotts memorial show

Hey, don't blame me: it's under forty minutes this time. We do a Winter Olympiad recap, and talk about the Denver Broncos on the verge, JJ Reddick, Don Knotts, and newcomers to watch for 2010. Dedicated to Mr. Furley and Barney Fife.

Tune in next week when we ask Nies whether NASCAR is a sport or not. Following the show, we will put him in the stocks atop a flatbed trailer and drag the trailer throughout the deep south.

Tune in next week when our podcast will take less than forty minutes of your precious time.

show 004 - stat hunt

We do a Super Bowl Recap, other football notes, winter olympics, the NBA, and a super top5. We also have about seven seconds of dead air whilst we scramble for NBA stats. Enjoy.

Oh, I apologize for the excessive static and reverbs in this broadcast. Skype does crazy things when the intar-webs are congested.

Tune in next week when we may actually be on time.

contrary to popular belief

I'm not terribly sure if Eric ever actually visits this site, as the fourth episode isn't up yet. The growing pains continue as our current media host (Ourmedia.org) are playing an uploading shell game with me, and my own internet connection is unresponsive enough to make Ray Nagin wince. I'm working on switching servers and making the RSS feed happen. Until then. . . you'll have to live off the previous three episodes.
